About the Group
The Garden Centre Group operates 128 garden centres in England and Wales. We are proud of our heritage in the gardening industry and each and every one of our garden centres has its own place in history.
For this reason each of our garden centres is separately branded and the staff and customers are loyal to their centre.

Our largest garden centre is Bridgemere Nursery & Garden World in Cheshire which was started by John Ravenscroft, who with wife Elizabeth, are the Life Presidents of the business today.
Our smallest garden centre is at Carmarthen. This centre was established in 1987, and is proud of its plant sales, having one of the highest sales per customer in the Group due to the enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff.
Our Staff
The Garden Centre Group employs more than 5,000 people. Our longest serving employees have been with the Group for more than 40 years and we are proud of the contribution of service of our staff.
Staff who have been with the Group for more than ten years are presented with a 10 year badge which they wear with pride. Recognition is also made at 20, 30 and 40 years. Currently 563 people have worked for the company for more than 10 years, 115 people for more than 20 years, 20 people for more than 30 years and 8 for more than 40 years.
Customer service is of prime importance to everyone who works for The Garden Centre Group. We believe that better customer service is achieved by education. We have the best staff training scheme in the industry. It is based on practical training with experienced staff together with our own in-house e-Learning system which covers every part of our business.
