Once part of the Galton Farm estate, the centre started life as a family run cut flower nursery, specialising in chrysanthemums and alstromeria. Sensitivity to chrysanthemum sap and a decline in the cut flower market led to diversification... and the rest, as they say, is history! The centre lies in the heart of Hardy country and is only 3 miles from Dorset's stunning Jurassic coast - a setting and a centre not to be missed.
We sell top quality growing stock, gardening products and garden furniture as well as birdcare products, floristry, houseplants and books. We also have a fabulous giftware and greeting card department and at Christmas, an inspiring display of decorations, lights and trees. Our restaurant has an excellent reputation, selling delicious home-made snacks and lunches whilst our staff are friendly and helpful horticultural experts who pride themselves on giving good practical advice to expert and amateur gardeners alike.
