Osterley's links with the land go back centuries. The land was originally agricultural, but by 1958 the site had been turned into a dairy farm belonging to Wyke House, the fine Georgian house that still stands at the entrance of the centre. Appropriately for our horticultural heritage, our longest serving member of staff is called Rose, whose fond memories of the centre go back nearly a decade and a half!
We sell top quality growing stock, gardening products and garden furniture as well as birdcare products, floristry, houseplants and books. We also have an excellent giftware and greeting card department and at Christmas, an inspiring display of decorations, lights and trees. Our new restaurant sells delicious home-made snacks and lunches and has a smart outdoor seating area for warm weather. Friendly and helpful, our staff are the cornerstone of our business; they are all horticultural experts who pride themselves on giving good practical advice to expert and amateur gardeners alike.
We all look forward to welcoming you to the centre soon.
