Located in the Llamsamlet Enterprise Park just outside Swansea, Swansea Garden Centre opened in 1988 on the site of the famous Vivian family copper works. A classic heavy industrial company, the works supplied copper throughout the world for decades, eventually leaving the site in less than pristine shape! It was transformed in the 1980s into an Enterprise Park and as one of the early occupants, the garden centre soon established itself as a focal point of the area.
With probably the greatest range of plants in South Wales, the centre has a well deserved reputation for top quality growing stock and an excellent array of gardening products. A team of friendly staff takes great pride in their horticultural knowledge and helpful approach, and such is the loyalty and commitment of the team that several have been with the centre since it opened, more than 20 years ago!
With celebrity openings by the likes of Kim Wilde and Mr Blobby, a variety of concessions, a popular restaurant with an outdoor patio and a great calendar of events that includes Breakfast with Santa (now on the second generation of visitors!), a visit to Swansea Garden Centre is a delight.
