Cornus canadensis (creeping dogwood) is a charming spreading dwarf shrub with attractive mid-green foliage and pure white star-like bracts that surround greenish-purple flowers borne in June. Red berries follow later. Excellent low mat-like ground cover but not invasive.
Prostrate hardy deciduous shrub. Plant in moist but well-drained humus-rich, lime-free soil in full sun or partial shade. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
