Garrya elliptica ‘James Roof’ is a sought after selected form of this bushy, strong-growing large evergreen, with abundant extra-long greenish-grey catkins from January into spring, well set off by neat dark green foliage. Makes an excellent plant for a sheltered North wall.
Height and spread 2.5-4m by 2-4m (8-12ft x 6-12ft). Thrives in well-drained, reasonably fertile soil, in sun or partial shade, sheltered from cold winds.
This plant has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
