Eucalyptus pauciflora subsp. niphophila (snow gum) is a comparatively slow-growing variety with large greyish-green leaves and bark that flakes into a beautiful patchwork of grey, green, cream and brown. Young shoots are red with a whitish bloom. Possibly the hardiest of the eucalyptus.
Small hardy evergreen tree. Plant in any reasonable moist but well-drained soil in a sunny or partially-shaded sheltered position. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
