Sorbus commixta (mountain ash) is a wonderful tree for autumn colour. Attractive ferny foliage is green in summer and turns vibrant red, orange and purple in autumn. White flowers are borne in spring and abundant crops of bright red berries appear in autumn.
Medium-sized hardy deciduous tree. 4-5m after 10 years. Thrives in any reasonably well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
