Located just outside the pretty market town of Bury St Edmunds near the A14, Bury St Edmunds Garden Centre began life in 1985 as a small business owned by the Cramphorn family. With just a small shop, coffee bar and plantarea, and despite a major fire in 1987, it soon built a reputation that attracted customers from both the surrounding villages and towns as far afield as Cambridge and Newmarket.

A total refit in 2002 doubled the size of the centre, which now covers nearly four and a half acres and includes a large and immaculately maintained plantarea offering a wide range of top quality plants and shrubs.

The staff at ‘Bury’ take great pride in both their knowledge of gardening and the friendly service they provide. Loyalty and helpfulness are key to the centre’s ethos and in fact three members have over 65 years’ service between them! Whilst the excellent selection of plants and gardening products lies at the heart of the business, the centre also stocks garden furniture and a great range of giftware. Christmas is a highlight and the restaurant offers delicious home-cooked lunches and snacks in an atmosphere that is welcoming and relaxed.
