Located in the town of Eastwood between Rayleigh and Southend-on-Sea, Rayleigh Garden Centre is the epitome of a local garden centre, with many a loyal customer arriving on foot from around the corner as well as from much further afield.

It was opened in the early 1970s by the visionary Cramphorn family, who diversified from grain dealing into the garden centre business and were pivotal in the development of garden centres as we know them today. With a plant offer that exhibited consistently high standards, the centre soon garnered a reputation for top quality home-grown bedding, supplying not only the local retail trade but also several wholesalers.

Now moving back to its horticultural roots with an excellent array of plants and gardening products complemented by a great range of giftware, the centre is staffed by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team, who like nothing more than to share their knowledge of horticulture and gardening with customers. Two members of staff have more than 40 years’ experience with the company and it is this loyalty, coupled with friendliness and helpfulness that ensures any visit to Rayleigh Garden Centre is a thoroughly enjoyable experience for expert and amateur gardeners alike.
